Oil Palm Plantations
Collaborating to meet India’s demand for edible oil
India imports a significant quantity of palm oil to meet the growing demand for edible oil. The Government of India promotes oil palm cultivation in certain regions of the country, so as to help them become self sufficient in edible oil production. The Government’s unique private-public partnership model also encourages farmers to take up oil palm cultivation.
We are among the largest oil palm developers in India and work directly with the farmers for the entire lifecycle of their crop. Over the years, we have developed more than 55,000 hectares of plantations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka Maharashtra and Mizoram. We produce a range of products, including Curde Palm Oil, Crude Palm Kernel Oil and Palm Kernel Cake. We have five oil palm mills across the country. We recently commissioned a mill in Mizoram, which is one of the largest private sector investments in the state.
